Lake Royale is a gated, private community built around a 345-acre reservoir in southeastern Franklin County, North Carolina, home to roughly 3,400 residents.
Lake Royale sits on Cypress Creek, a tributary of the Tar River, just outside Bunn, North Carolina via Sledge Road. What began as an engineered reservoir became the anchor of a residential community, now managed by the Lake Royale Property Owners Association (POA) on behalf of its members.
The Association maintains the lake, common areas, and The River Golf Club, and enforces community covenants through an Architectural Control Committee (ACC). Governance is handled by an elected board of directors, whose meeting minutes and recorded votes are published for all owners.
